Erica Reed
How I got started:
My senior year of High School I was at Hobby Lobby with my mom and asked her if she would buy me a canvas and some paint. We left the store with a 8 x 20 canvas and four bottles of tempura paint in the primary colors. I went home and painted a scene with a tree. Ever since then I became more and more interested in painting.

Meaning behind Connie’s Daughter:
Connie was my mothers names. She passed away in 2015. A large part of who I am is because of the unconditional love and support that I received from her. Connie was an organ donor May 2015.
What I enjoy painting:
I paint mostly realistic images. My favorite things to paint right now are ships and cows! I like to use a lot of texture and dimension in my work.
How I got into woodworking:
Growing up on a farm, I became very familiar with running power tools and fixing things. I learned most of that from my dad, Tom and old brother, Adam. When pallet wood projects started to become really popular I thought to myself “I think I could do that” .
About me:
I grew up a on beef farm in Jesup, IA where my Dad continues to live and farm. I have a older brother Adam and a younger sister Amy. I currently live in Des Moines, IA with my wife Mackenzie and our Great Dane Apollo.
